The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society has been a visionary not-for-profit organization in the Greater Philadelphia Region since its founding in 1827. PHS organizes the annual Philadelphia International Flower, the world’s largest and longest-running indoor flower show, which brings 270,000 visitors and creates a $61 million economic impact to the city. PHS’s Philadelphia Green helps transform lives through innovative programs like City Harvest, which has grown and donated 160,000 lbs of fresh produce in four years—helping to feed 1,000 families each week of the growing season. PHS also leads Plant One Million, an ambitious program to plant one million trees in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

The Project Coordinator for Community Greening Stewardship Initiatives supports the stewardship and implementation of neighborhood greening projects with a heavy emphasis on engaging community in design, construction and on-going maintenance. She/he reports to the Program Manager for Community Greening and Stewardship Initiatives.


  • Strong history in community engagement with diverse populations
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in related field.
  • Degree in environmental studies, horticulture, sustainable landscape management, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines
  • Excellent written, graphic, and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic team player willing to help other team members when needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, Razor’s Edge, internet, social media and technology
  • Knowledge of the Greater Philadelphia Region is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License

The Office Manager/Litigation Assistant will oversee the operations of the San Francisco office and provide administrative and paralegal support to the attorneys.


  • Bookkeeping, time reporting
  • Supply/equipment ordering and maintenance
  • Recruitment coordination
  • Time/meeting planning
  • Confidential file maintenance and library management
  • Formatting, proofreading, and cite checking for attorneys
  • Court and agency filing of legal documents
  • Other litigation assistant duties


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Litigation assistant experience and knowledge of federal court rules or ability to acquire such knowledge promptly
  • Experience in basic bookkeeping and supervising
  • Computer skills, including Adobe and Microsoft Software
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Strong internet researching skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to protecting the environment
  • Good sense of humor
